Virtual meetings are here to stay. However, do you sometimes wonder if anyone is paying attention or simply exhausted from all the virtual meetings we attend these days? As a meeting leader, do you fear that virtual meetings may seem to some like a license to multitask? What happens if someone sits back and tunes out? Have you ever presented an idea in a virtual meeting, paused for a reaction, and then heard, “I’m not sure I followed you,” which might as well mean, “I was shampooing my cat and didn’t realize I would be called on.” It does not have to be this way.
